ABDURAUF FITRAT
MEMORIAL MUSEUM

The museum was established in 1996. It is dedicated to the life of Abdurauf Fitrat, one of the founders of the Jadid movement in Bukhara.

Fitrat (1886-1937) was the eminent public and political figure, publicist, scholar, poet, and expert on the history of the Uzbek and Tajik nations and their spiritual cultures.

In Bukhara and other cities of Uzbekistan, Fitrat collected very important collection of the Oriental manuscripts (150 pieces) that was given to the public library in Tashkent in 1934.
